He has frequently appeared on such shows as <i>Oprah, Tom Snyder</i> and <i>The Today Show</i>. In addition, he wrote humorous commentaries for NBC Television and hosted his own television show <i> Powers Up. </i> He has received two Emmy awards for his television work. </font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2"> Currently, Powers is writing and performing one-minute spots for WYCC-TV in Chicago on how to be a more effective public speaker.
