Dr.
Wayne Dyer

Father of
Motivation
About Dr. Wayne Dyer
Dr. Wayne Dyer, called the "father of motivation" by his fans, is one of the most widely known
and respected people in the field of self-empowerment. He became a well known author with
his best-selling book, Your Erroneous Zones, and has gone on to write many other self-help
classics including his very latest; The
Power of Intention: Learning to Co-create Your World Your Way,
There's A Spiritual Solution
to Every Problem and Staying on the Path, Pulling Your Own Strings, Everyday
Wisdom, and
You'll See it When You Believe It.
Despite his childhood spent in orphanages and foster homes, Dr. Dyer, who has a doctorate in
counseling psychotherapy, has overcome many obstacles to make his dreams come true. Today
he spends much of his time showing others how to do the same. When he's not traveling the
globe delivering his uplifting message, he is writing from his home in Florida, where he lives with
his wife and children.
His latest book,
Staying on the Path, is a collection of inspirational quotes and observations
gathered from years of listening and lecturing. His latest audio,
Meditations for Manifesting, tells
you how to literally create your hearts desire.
Dr. Dyer has written numerous
best-selling books, recorded many audio cassette programs, has
had thousands of appearances - many encore performances - on television and radio shows, and has been interviewed in dozens of popular magazines.
Dyer received his doctorate in
counseling psychology from Wayne State University and the
University of Michigan. He has taught at many levels of
education from high school to the teaching hospital of the
Cornell University Medical College and has co-authored three
textbooks and numerous professional journal articles.
In addition to being an author
and teacher. Dr. Dyer is a social commentator and has appeared
on over 5,200 television and radio programs including Oprah,
The
Today Show, and The Tonight Show. In 1985 he was selected
as one of six prominent Americans and his "A Letter to the
Next Generation" appeared in Time magazine.
Dr. Dyer includes among his most
satisfying accomplishments the fact that he has run a minimum of
eight miles a day everyday since 1976, and in 1982, he ran the
original Greek Marathon from Marathon, Greece to the Olympic
Stadium in Athens.
Dr. Dyer was given the Golden
Gavel Award from Toastmasters International Outstanding Speaker
of the Year Award in 1987. Some of Dr. Dyer's other works
